I recently had my BMW serviced by Grosvenor BMW and was genuinely impressed with the whole experience. From the moment I dropped the car off, the customer service was outstanding. They kept me informed throughout and took the time to explain clearly what work had been carried out and why it was needed. Nothing felt rushed or unclear. What I particularly appreciated was the honesty. They recommended the work that needed doing but also pointed out other items that would eventually need attention, explaining that they could safely wait a little longer. That gave me real confidence that they were looking after my interests rather than simply looking for extra work. The quality of the service was excellent and, based on my experience, better than the service I’ve received from BMW dealers I’ve used in the past. The prices were competitive too, making the overall experience even better. I’d have no hesitation recommending Grosvenor BMW and will definitely be using them again. Excellent service, honest advice and a professional job from start to finish.

Grosvenor motor services are a great company to deal with. We travelled 90 mins to have our mini MOT’d and repaired, knowing they would provide an excellent service. Highly recommend.

Excellent comms and service

Review No 2 (Aug 2026) I seriously cannot recommend Grosvenor BMW Reading highly enough. Its a long post so grab yourself a glass of something! Two years ago they retrofitted Apple CarPlay to my BMW X6 and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately, after my steering rack failed, I had to return to the main dealer under my BMW warranty. During the repair they had to reprogram the car via the head unit, and in turn removing CarPlay. In the process, they damaged the head unit, which they eventually replaced after a fair bit of back and forth. From that point on, the system never worked properly. I lost the ability to make calls or send messages using the steering wheel controls. I made countless trips back to the dealer at my own expense, only to be told everything from "your phone is too old" to "you need to buy ConnectedDrive (which I did and over a hundred quid)." Every visit ended with a different excuse, but never a solution. I reached out to Grosvenor BMW Reading for advice, and Justin replied quickly and simply said ‘pop the car in and we’ll reinstall Apple CarPlay for you’ I did indeed, and within an hour they'd completed the install and diagnosed the real problem. The head unit installation had never been put back together correctly after the warranty repair - the Wi-Fi antenna lead, which is essential for connectivity, had simply been left disconnected, it was sat in the glovebox! Grosvenor reconnected it and everything works exactly as it had before, 100% spot on. What impressed me most wasn't just that they'd fixed it; it was their knowledge, honesty and professionalism. They didn't blame my phone, sell me services I didn't need, or make excuses. They found the fault, explained it clearly and put it right. After much frustration, it was an enormous relief to finally have someone who genuinely knew what they were doing, and not only that they didn’t charge me. When have you ever received that kind of service? I just want to say, “thank you to Justin and Barry at Grosvenor BMW Reading. You've restored not only my CarPlay which I have so missed, but also my faith that great customer service and technical expertise still exists. I have already recommended you to many of my friends! What a fantastic find - these guys are truly amazing. Not only are they hundreds of pounds cheaper than the main dealer they are honest too, again not exactly like a main dealer! My BMW X6 had work done by a well known remapping garage in Basingstoke that almost completely wrecked my car but thanks to these guys within a couple hours of doing a health check they knew exactly what was wrong, they gave me an honest price and had it running better than it ever did within less than 24hrs. I had a fault with a boot loop on Mini, got me in much quicker and cheaper than when I call a main dealer.

On arriving I was introduced to Ash on the front desk. A nice chirpy helpful friendly and knowledgable man , who kept me well informed at each stage of the work that was undertaken during my Mini Countryman Health check and servicing. Indeed the situation was rather relaxing. I was particularly pleased that they were able to reboot the head gear, with little effort and at a very good price, considering sometime ago such a task could cost up to £1000 or more. But here at Grovernor motors BMW specialist they charge £130, so highly competitive rate and very efficient.

I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Barry. On both occasions that I’ve brought my car in for major repairs, Barry has been excellent. He provided a very transparent explanation of the work required and clear, helpful advice on the best way forward. This level of openness and context is something I’ve rarely encountered elsewhere when seeking service or repairs. The pricing has also been fair compared to main dealers, and I particularly value the extra insight he offers, which helps me make informed decisions rather than simply being handed a quote. I really appreciate Barry’s open communication and genuine transparency. It’s refreshing and has made a real difference. Highly recommended.

Ive had 2 jobs done here over the past couple of months - brake discs & pads and then a service. Excellent customer service on both occasions and really happy with the quality of the work. The courtesy car and the clean was a nice touch too. Great job and id definitely recommend.
